Some of you may be embracing Veganuary for the first time. If so, we extend a very warm welcome and wish you well with your venture into the wonderful world of veganism! So this month we'll be brining you the best of this reflective season. An opportunity for a gentle, and hopefully, a positive re-set. We wish all of our Vegan Tipples customers a very Happy New Year!
2023 brings the 5th anniversary of Vegan Tipples and we would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who supports us. We started out in 2018 with a strong vision to enable vegans to buy alcoholic beverages free from animal products.
We've been delighted with how the vegan movement has grown and goes from strength to strength. However there have obviously been some major challenges along the way...
We are still muddling through Brexit and all the new customs regulations, as well as rising prices on glass and freight. So let’s see what this year brings! We're determined to jump the hurdles in our path as we proceed into 2023 and thank you for your continued support of this small, ethical business.
As 2023 progresses we are looking forward to trying new wines and introducing them to you all, our lovely customers!
Veganuary is upon us again, and this is a great chance to eat well and help the environment to kick start 2023.
Going forward, if there any favourite grapes or wines that you don’t see on the website, why nor drop us an email at susan@vegantipples.co.uk. We have access to a whole range of delicious wines and we are sure we can help you find the perfect vegan wine!
We're keen to ensure you, our valued customers, are at the heart of everything we do. Thank you again for enabling us to reach this milestone and here's to the next 5 years! We'll raise a glass of vegan bubbly to that! HappyDrinking
Vegan Tipples Founder and Director, Sue, really enjoyed hosting the Christmas wine tastings, so our monthly tastings will resume on Friday 3rd February. We do hope you may be able to join us for an informative, interesting and fun evening of vegan wine and vegan nibbles! E-mail susan@vegantipples.co.uk to book your place.
Please also get in touch if you'd like to discuss how Vegan Tipples may be able to host a private Wine Tasting event for you. Create a unique evening for a special birthday, a hen / stag night, an anniversary celebration. We can help you to provide an evening with a difference for you and all your guests.
No or low-alcohol beers & wines also available!
Good luck to anyone who is undertaking dry January – if you would still like to enjoy wines whilst staying 'dry', don’t forget our range of no alcohol wines and beers.
Wines for under £10
Let's face it, the festive season is costly and come January we're all trying to reign in the spending a little.
Fortunately, spending less on your wine does not mean you have to compromise on quality or taste!
We have some absolutely wonderful wines available for under £10 a bottle:
The Paparuda Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio are both just £9.25 a bottle. Both bottles represent incredible wines at an affordable price.
The Pinot Noir pairs well with roast dishes and rich stews: "Fruity, rich and potent, with layers of ripe black cherry, raspberry and cinnamon. Deep, with pretty fruitcake and spicy aromatics. Lingering aftertaste." Whilst the Pinot Grigio is perfect to enjoy with pasta dishes, salads and creamy creations: "This over delivers! It is textured with delicious honey, citrus fruits and ripe pears on the palate as well as the nose. The finish is clean and refreshing and deliciously Pinot Grigio."
Bella Modella, Pinot Grigio Blush, Colline Teatine, 2021 is another great budget option at just £8.49. This is a lovely bottle of wine that goes well with risottos or serves up as a wonderful aperitif: "This delicate rosé has deliciously strawberry laced aromas followed by a seductive palate of crisp, juicy, creamy fruit. Ideal with lightly spicy foods."
Another pair of wines which represent incredible value are the Aves Del Sur Cabernet Sauvignon and the Carmenere. Both just £8.95 a bottle. The Cabernet Sauvignon is another wine to pair well with those delicious winter stews: "Delicate aromas of cherries. Cassis and blueberries mixed with sweet notes of chocolate. Juicy and soft tannins." Whilst the Carmenere is one to open with rice-based dishes and curries: "Aromas of black fruits combined with sweet spicy notes. It is fresh and juicy with flavours of blackberries and plums."
Burns Night We have two perfect whiskies for you to complete your Burns Night supper on 25 January...
Kingsbarns Dream to Dram "Kingsbarns Dream to Dram is light, intensely fruity, flora and balanced, with a rich colour coming from the high quality casks it has matured in. On the nose, there is banana, pineapple and summer berries, with a slight herbal note. The taste is soft toffee, custard pastry and redcurrants with a finish of ginger syrup." £44.95
Ancnoc 12 Year Old Whisky "Sweet to start with an appetising fruitiness and a long smooth finish. Light yet complex, smooth yet challenging. This is a dram that has something for everyone." £32.50
