Summer Markets

We're excited to bring Vegan Tipples to two of our favourite markets this summer!

We'll be at Cockenzie Market on 4 July and at Leith Market on 25 July. Join us to try some seasonal wines and find out more about the range of fine wines, beers and spirits we offer at Vegan Tipples.

Wine Tastings

Our first summer wine tasting will take place at 7pm on Friday 3 July.

Tickets are just £17.50 pp - making these events incredibly good  value for money.   We will welcome you with a vegan fizz, and you can try a further five vegan wines. Delicious vegan snacks are served throughout. 

All wine tastings take place at our premises in the very heart of historic Edinburgh. Do join us, we'd love to welcome you.

Luis Felipe Edwards Cinsault 'Cinso' 2022

Luis Felipe Edwards is an innovative and fast growing family company, producing high quality award winning wines. 100% family owned and largely family managed. 2,000 hectares of own vineyards. 8 trophies in the last 2 years and over 400 other medals. This Cinsault Rose has soft cherry red with an aroma of red fruits such as maraschino cherry and fresh strawberry with a pear background, slight notes of sweet spices and fresh herbs  £11.75

Chateau Maison Blanche Grand Cru, Yvorne 2023

Château Maison Blanche is one of the most prestigious wine estates in Switzerland dating back to 1573. Winemaker Thierry Ciampi makes the wines of the estate with a deep respect for its terroir and outstanding history. In accordance with a hundred-year-old tradition, the wines are all made in large oak barrels.

This wine is admirable, divine and precious and this Chasselas has a beautiful golden yellow colour and expresses itself superbly in a full-bodied style that highlights its mineral tones and aromas of lime blossom and flint, characteristic of the exceptional terroir of this appellation.

Steinbock Zero Riesling N/V

An alternative to the extremely popular sparkling Non alcohol Steinbock Riesling, we can now offer this incredible alcohol free wine.

Bright and elegant, with crunchy fruit flavours of baking apple and lemon. A keen acidity provides an excellent energy to the wine. Pairs perfectly with Asian curries, enchiladas and creamy pasta dishes  £11.95

Stift Klosterneuburg Klostersekt 

The history of Klosterneuburg Monastery and its wine estate begins in 1114, it is therefore the oldest wine estate in Austria. The winery cultivates 108 hectares of vineyards and counts to the biggest and renowned wine estates of Austria.  The classic KLOSTERSEKT is a blend of 60% Grüner Veltliner and 40% Welschriesling (Italian Riesling).   This sparkling classic is characterized by a clear, fresh and fruity aromas of apples and lime on the nose. Due to a yeast contact of at least 9 months the Klostersekt displays an harmonious aroma expression on the palate.  £17.25
 
Produttori Di Manduria, Aka Charme Rosato Spumante Brut, IGT, Puglia, Italy, 2024

In the heel of Italy, Produttori di Manduria has been making wines for nearly 100 years unashamedly proud of their deep affection for Primitivo.  This beautifully packaged sparkling Primitivo Rose is perfect with sushi, aubergine dishes and delicious as an apertitif.  On the nose, it delivers vibrant intensity with notes of small red fruits, delicate rose petals, and subtle hints of bread crust and yeast, creating a refined and inviting bouquet.  On the palate, its lively effervescence and excellent acidity bring remarkable freshness, while its softness and balanced structure make it beautifully harmonious and unmistakably fragrance  £17.99

Edinburgh Fringe

We're so excited to once again host our fun-size 1 hour wine tastings throughout August as part of the Edinburgh Fringe. These 'taster tastings' easily fit in to your festival schedule. But there's still enough time to enjoy tasting four wines and improve your wine knowledge while you're at it! You'll receive a top up of your favourite wine at the end.

These tastings take place in the heart of historic Edinburgh, very close to Edinburgh bus station and Edinburgh Waverley train station.  Various dates throughout August at 4-5pm or 6-7pm. Just £20 per person
