March Newsletter

That can only mean one thing, the launch of our Vegan Tipples Spring Box, which we're delighted to introduce you to here.

There's a lot to celebrate coming up, Mother's Day, the Easter holidays and of course the clocks going forward. The longer, lighter evenings are certainly worth celebrating! Spring is a great time to enjoy a glass or two of rosé, so we are very happy to recommend our favourites for the season.

We have two rather special new wines to present. We're also busy tasting new wines for the prestigious Vegan Tipples' catalogue (it's a tough job, but somebody has to do it!), so do keep an eye on the website and our social media to check for even more new additions over the coming weeks.

Happy springtime and, of course, "Happy Drinking!"

It's time for the brand new Spring 2025 Mixed Box. An outstanding mixed case of six bottles - white, red and fizz! All for just £57.

Our seasonal boxes are always lovingly curated by Vegan Tipples Founder and Director, Susan Hunt, with a vision in mind of supplying exceptional vegan wine at great value! And this season's offering delivers just that. All our mixed boxes come with detailed tasting notes, helping you to get the very best from your wines.

New Wines

We're currently working hard tasting the very best vegan wines from around the world to ensure our fine Vegan Tipples' catalogue always contains the best of the best!  Over the coming weeks we'll be trying out the new wines, so please follow our social media or check out the website for our latest offerings!

Two incredible new wines we've just added come from Paul Hobbs, who was raised on a farm on the east coast of the United States. His first taste of wine was Chateau d'Yquem. it is tempting to say 'the rest is history' but there is more to Paul Hobbs... Paul came to winemaking via studying to be a doctor and this scientific knowledge and attention to detail has helped to hone his craft to produce precise, complex wines in California. Paul Hobbs has been famously declared the 'Steve Jobs' of wine by Forbes magazine as he is driven by achieving perfection. This hard work and expertise has paid off with number 100 point scores from the critics. Paul is also an advocate of low intervention methods.

Paul Hobbs, Crossbarn Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast, California, USA, 2023

This delightful wine pairs really well with pea and bean risotto: "Crystalline pale straw with a faint chlorophyllic tint. Opens with lifted aromas of freshly picked green apple, and is perfumed with Meyer lemon zest, gardenia, honeysuckle, and orange blossom. On the palate, notes of Honeycrisp apple lead a well-focused palate punctuated by a burst of fresh guava. Mineral-driven, vibrant acidity accented with a sea salt-like crunchiness is interlaced with a delicate creamy yet firmly structured texture. The finish is pure and clean with good tension and energy through the lingering, expressively juicy finish."  £33.99

Paul Hobbs, Crossbarn Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast, California, USA, 2020
Here's a wine delightful to pair with vegan pizza, vegan sausage and mushrooms. "Bright ruby in colour and scented with inviting notes of bergamot, fresh blueberry, and red clay combine with invigorating acidity as it evolves across the palate, ending with the power and grace that’s in character with its coastal influences.  £38.99

Mother's Day, 30 March
We have the perfect gift for the special person in your life you'd like to recognise on Mother's Day...Three of our favourite wines, ready to present in a gift bag. Each Mother's Day gift bag is priced at £39.50 and will include:

La Vie En Rose, Cinsault Rose, IGP Pays D'OC, Languedoc, France, 2023  "La Vie en Rose is a beautifully elegant wine with packaging to match. A lovely pink rose petal colour. A very fresh nose deliciously scented with raspberry aromas. Complex and tasty in the mouth with notes of cherry and grenadine. and a fleeting brush of subtle, spicy wood, this is a supremely balanced, savoury food-friendly wine."

Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel Rose 2022  "The aromas of rose petals and red berries dominate the nose and reveal its red grape origins. The mousse is fine and enthusiastic and brings out the floral and yeasty aromas in the mouth. A mouthfilling roundness on the palate shows ample fresh fruit intensity and body which is perfectly balanced by a subtle acid structure that leads to a crisp and refreshing dry finish."

Painted Wolf Wines 'The Den' Chenin Blanc 2024  "Fresh lemon and pear aromas give way to tropical passion fruit on the nose. Crisp acidity and a hint of oak add to the texture and wonderful fruit flavours linger on the palate. Exceptional value."

Raspberry Gin for the taste of spring!

This is small batch gin made in Scotland. An extension of their existing Loch Lomond Brewery, West Highland Spirits have decided to create a range of spirits in house using local ingredients where possible with the same skill and dedication that has seen them crowned as champion brewers year after year.

All the flavours of a Scottish dry gin with the citrus and spice working in harmony with the full on juicy fruit burst thanks to the finest Scottish raspberries.
A gorgeous springtime refresher served with lemonade, ice and a sprig of rosemary! "A delicate pink colour working in harmony with the fruit flavours."  £38

Pretty in pink...
If there's ever a perfect time to celebrate rosé wines, it's just about now. The pastel colour fits the palette of early spring beautifully! So we thought we'd select two of our absolute favourites with you this month. It's a tough job, as really we have an outstanding range of rosé wines across the board!

Villa Wolf Pinot Noir Rosé, 2022

Perfect for days full of sunshine and bank holidays: "It is light and refreshing, with deliciously bright berry and red fruit flavours and a clean, zippy finish."  £12.75

Château L'Escarelle, Les deux Anges Rosé, AOP Côteaux Varois en Provence, 2023
This award winner is a stunning aperitif: "Subtle and elegant with wild strawberry and citrus fruit on the nose. The palate is clean and fresh with beautiful smoothness and mango and pomelo notes."  £17.75
