Dr Loosen alcohol free wines

There are many reasons to choose an alcohol free wine. If you're looking to go alcohol free, don't feel you have to sit out on the quality and enjoyment of your wines.

"The Dr Loosen Riesling has just the right amount of fruitiness to balance the crisp acidity. On the palate it is clearly Riesling, but it walks the line between a fruity and drier style. The characteristic acidity of Mosel Riesling helps it finish fresh and clean. If shown blind it may not be recognized as alcohol-free." £10.99

International Sauvignon Blanc Day, 7 May

Petit Bourgeois Sauvignon Blanc, 2022
It's International Sauvignon Blanc Day on 7 May and we have two magnificent bottles of Sauvignon Blanc to wholeheartedly recommend!
This Petit Bourgeois, 2022 pairs perfectly with  lighter dishes and green vegetables. This aromatic side allows it to be combined with sweet and savoury flavours. It will go perfectly with dishes with flavours of candied lemon or saffron.

"This wine is full of expressive flavours from this area - fresh and zippy citrus notes with a light floral touch and a dash of minerality. A "baby Sancerre" that over-delivers, with a stunning long finish." £15.99

Pā Road Sauvignon Blanc, 2022

This is a wine that pairs well with salads and asparagus dishes, so it's perfect for this month!
"Attractive floral aromatics with notes of citrus, lemongrass, passionfruit and guava. International Chardonnay Day, 23 May 2024

Who doesn't love a Chardonnay to accompany those first al fresco lunches or dinners, once the weather warms up?To celebrate all things Chardonnay on a day dedicated to enjoying this fabulous wine, why not try the brand new vintage of one of our best selling bottles?

Cartlidge and Browne, Chardonnay, North Coast, California, USA, 2022

In 1980, the same year Ronald Reagan came to power and JR was shot in 'Dallas', with no money to buy vineyards Tony Cartlidge started his winery in an undistinguished Napa Valley garage.  Possibly the original Californian 'garagiste' he set out to source the best possible grapes to handcraft his wines in this unassuming home. Nearly 40 years later, still sourcing from vineyards as wide ranging as Sonoma to the Sierra foothills, continuing to produce high quality wines, Cartlidge & Browne has become a byword for varietally pure Californian wines, whilst sticking to their garagiste roots of taking a different path.

Sourced from some of the best family owned vineyards in Clarksburg and Lodi – some with lively acid, others that lend weight and substance on the palate.

This Chardonnay is very versatile and makes a wonderful accompaniment to any self-respecting vegan barbecue!

"Burgundian in style with elegant mineral complexity combined with the slightest of caramel and brown sugar notes. Aromas of a green apples and honeysuckle lead to a palate that is both silky and generous. Flavours of pear, melon and light citrus with aromatics of straw, lemon and oak tones of sweet caramel and hazelnut."  £18.75
