"Happy drinking!"

'Tis (almost) the season to be jolly...
Whilst December isn't yet upon us, we all know that the big day is just around the corner, and we all know just how busy things get once we start opening those windows in the advent calendar! So why not get your festive drinks sorted in advance, so you have one less thing on the seemingly-endless Christmas preparation to do list?

Bella Modella Prosecco - Crisp, deliciously frothy and filled with ripe apple and citrus fruit character

Uvam Pinot Grigio - An ambrosial nose of wonderful floral aroma's, on the palate there’s an abundance of tropical fruit, melon, guava and peach supported by zippy acidity making it mouth-tinglingly moreish.
Simonsig Chenin Blanc - Aromas of golden delicious apples, pears and a light floral touch.
'The Wrong Un' Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz - Lush black fruits coupled with touches of woodspice, liquorice and cassis follow through to a delicious, velvety finish.
Man Meets Mountain Malbec - Man Meets Mountain celebrates those that face up to and conquer the challenges posed by nature and brings to you a harmonious Malbec, packed full of blueberry, blackcurrant and plum and a complex and delicious finish.

For £80 we have the incredible value Christmas Box including a fizz and a white port:
Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel - Flavours of buttered toast and fresh bread, with touches of roast almonds. The mousse is creamy and elegant with delicate bubbles.
Villa Wolf Pinot Blanc - Villa Wolf Pinot Blanc is an elegant and easy drinking wine. Fresh and bright aromas come from picking the fruit at the optimal ripeness. Crisp with floral notes and textured stone fruit flavour.
Funkstille Gruner Veltliner - Subtle exotic hints, ripe pear and fresh citrus flavours, it's a dry wine with complex flavours. The palate is rich with flavours of melon and grapefruit with a refreshing, zippy finish.
Felino Malbec - Violet red with black tones. An attractive nose with aromas of fresh black fruits and prunes.
Cartlidge Browne Cabernet Sauvignon - This Cabernet starts out with rich, delicious red fruits on the nose that flows into cherry, watermelon, candied plum and crème brûlée.
Delaforce White Port - Pale colour and medium sweetness.

And for £90 we have the incredible value Christmas Box including a fizz and a tawny port.
This is the same as the £80 box but the white port is replaced with the Delaforce Tawny Port 10 Years Old - This sumptuous and richly flavoured tawny port is matured for ten years in seasoned oak casks. It combines ripe jammy fruit aromas with the rich mellow flavours of wood ageing and displays the characteristic elegance, balance and harmony of the Delaforce house style. Rich and round on the palate.
Each of these Christmas boxes represents great value for money and will definitely help make this Christmas a very jolly season!

Happy World Vegan Day... Tuesday 1 November is World Vegan Day.
An important opportunity to stop and reflect upon all that has been achieved in recent years with the growth of the vegan movement.
Whilst it can sometimes feel overwhelming to think about all the negativity and cruelty in the world we should feel inspired and heartened to realise just how far things have come.
It wasn't so long ago that the only vegetarian option on a menu was a cheese and broccoli bake, so to now also have at least one vegan option and a dairy-free milk option available at most establishments, as well of course many places offering far more choice than that, and indeed a fine range of restaurants and cafes offering entirely vegan food and drinks, we should be proud of how far society has progressed.
It's a great example of how individual choices we all make can collectively bring about bigger societal change and a force for good in the world.
Here at Vegan Tipples we're proud to be part of that movement forward towards a greener, kinder future.
We work with some incredible producers who have their hearts in the right place and who, like us, are not afraid of doing things differently!
Every drink you will find on our shelves is not only 100% vegan but also 100% delightful as we only stock drinks we are entirely approving of in terms of quality and taste!
At Vegan Tipples you can be sure that what is in the bottle you buy contains absolutely no gelatine (from animal bones), no isinglass (from fish bladders), no eggs and no dairy.

Let's face it, you don't need a special day to enjoy a great Malbec but as there's an International Day to celebrate this fantastic wine, let's embrace it!
Our Malbec recommendation has to be

Man Meets Mountain, Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina, 2021
"Great things are done when men and mountains meet, this is not done by jostling in the street”.  The quest for higher quality has seen Argentina's most ambitious winemakers push into the Andes foothills where the higher altitude and meagre soils produce the finest grapes. Man Meets Mountain is one of our own production projects in Argentina made in conjunction with our consultant winemaker Sebastian San Martin.
Part of the Malbec is from Vistalba and trained in a vertical training system which is drop irrigated, over aluvial soil. The rest is from Medrano, also in a vertical training system, drop irrigation over medium texture soil. The terroir and climate is desert like with a Monzonic influence.
"Man Meets Mountain celebrates those that face up to and conquer the challenges posed by nature and brings to you a harmonious Malbec, packed full of blueberry, blackcurrant and plum and a complex and delicious finish."
Just £10.75 a bottle - great value!
