and, in good time as 7 September is International Cabernet Sauvignon Day.
‘Cab Sauv’ is so on trend at the moment and is produced across the world, with varying degrees of character. It is the most widely planted grape variety worldwide - Australia, British Columbia, Lebanon, America, Canada and obviously, Europe. A relatively new grape, it came about from a chance crossing of a Cabernet
Franc and a Sauvignon Blanc in the 17th century. Why not treat yourself to a bottle on the 7th and see why it is so popular at the moment?
As always, we have a fine range for Vegan Tipples, September 2023 www.vegantipples.co.uk you to select from on our website!
Talking of trends, there is a growing enthusiasm for ‘fine cider’ being served with meals, instead of wine. Cider is lower in alcohol (which more and more people are looking for). We at Vegan Tipples had the arduous task of putting this new trend to the test! There are many craft companies that are producing wonderful ciders, and there are genuinely really good pairings with food. We even tried one that was an excellent alternative to a 15% ABV dessert wine at only 7%
Keep your eye on www.vegantipples.co.uk as we’ll be introducing some new additions. It will be interesting to see if this catches on in a big way.
Happy September everyone and...”Happy drinking!
