About
Cantina Orsogna was founded in 1964 by a small group of producers, currently it has become a cooperative of almost 500 members, devoted to the cultivation of vines and olive trees. The 1100 ha of vineyards are located at an altitude of 432 m. a.s.l. between the slopes of the Majella National Park and at 15 Km from the Adriatic sea, enjoying a peculiar position and a particularly favorable climate for organic farming.
Harvested by hand in the first ten days of October, its grapes, once softly destemmed, undergo maceration for approximately 14 days. During this period the wine also completes the alcoholic fermentation at a temperature not exceeding 20C, to then be introduced into barriques, where the malolactic fermentation ends. It is subsequently aged for a further 6 months in wood and rested in the bottle.

Intense ruby red with slight purple hues, tending towards garnet with age. Aromas of red fruits, spices, intense, ethereal. Full, dry, harmonious, rightly tannic.
